Good Morning
I am heading to the UK on March 11th , 2026 . I am a CAD citizen with CAD passport and have my approved ETA already. HOWEVER, I was born in the UK , do not have my birth certificate nor passport . All I have is a photocopy of my immigration papers from when we moved to Canada in 1973 . I have been living in Canada since I was 6 years old . Am I going to have issues when I arrive on March 11th ? Personally this should not be an issue , if a CAD citizen can gain entry with the ETA form approved , that is all that should matter. I AM a Canadian citizen and have the proper form.
I will only be in the UK for couple of days as we are heading to Brusells and Amsterdam for a travel agent seminar on a river cruise. We arrive late in the evening March 11th and depart via the Eurostar March 14th.
I have read several stories online where I could run into issues with border agents because my place of birth on my CAD passport is in the UK.I have sent a message through the gov.uk website ..... they instructed me to call the British Consulate .... I call the 4 numbers for each consulate and every single one of them direct me back to the gov.uk website. It is a viscous circle.
Are you able to tell me if I am going to run into issues ? I obviously do not have enough time to request a new birth certificate or apply for a passport.
