Canada eTA for US/Canada Visa Holders
The Canada eTA allows conditionally eligible travellers to fly to Canada for tourism, business, family visit and transit without applying for a traditional visitor visa.
Who Is Eligible to Apply Conditionally?
Applicants must meet the following conditions to apply for a Canada eTA:
- Applicants travelling to or transiting through Canada by air.
- Travellers holding a valid passport from an eTA eligible nationality.
- Applicants with either a Canadian visitor visa issued within the last 10 years or a valid US non-immigrant visa.
Note:
- Check the Canada eTA policy to know if your nationality is eligible to apply under this category.
- Conditionally eligible nationals in this category who enter Canada by land or sea cannot use an eTA and must apply for a Canadian visitor visa through the appropriate channels.
- If travellers do not hold the required supporting documents, they must apply for a Canada visitor visa instead.
